Clarence Da Gama Pinto

Mr Da Gama Pinto was the program manager cum trainer at Melbourne Business School when I was attending the AMP in May 2010. The Executive Education wing is located at a very beautiful Mount Eliza campus, across the lake from Melbourne.

Last Tuesday he was in Putrajaya, and he managed to find the time to drop by at my office. He had been here before, but Putrajaya was very much in the midst of development then.

He spent just about half an hour, before he had to leave to Hilton KL. To add to his collection of `muslim hats' as he explained it (its kopiah actually!), I suggested he paid a visit to Jalan Masjid India.

Later on that day, I received an email from him that he had bought a few! Hmm, hope he enjoyed the shopping crowd there :)

Blackberry woes

I just got myself a new Blackberry - Bold 9900.  It has a big problem; the battery runs out in just a few hours!

My first BB was a Curve 8900.  I still remember, when I first had it, I could use it for a week after a full charge.  After 2 years, it still needed charging only once a day, and that's for only about 40 minutes each time.

But this new one is a real battery drainer.  The battery meter showed 95% at lunch time, but by about 7.30 in the evening, it had gone down to 10%.  Feeling hopeless, I shoved it into its jacket and put it in my pocket.  Half an hour later, when I took it out, it was already blinking green, and a message on the screen says `battery drained'!

It uses battery that much even when not in use!

I was going through old emails, when suddenly I saw one from Google, notifying me about this blog which I had started when we were in the UK.  I had totally forgotten about it!

Going through the (very few) entries, it brought my memories to the time we were there; alien land, but full of VNPs (very nice people).

Now that I have a personal blog :) , I might try harder to find time to write...
